Ancient Coast Collection

Moody, dramatic and breathtaking are only a few of the words that have been used to describe the Glamorganshire Heritage Coast where all of these photographs have been taken. In this collection there is an unseen side to the coast which I have captured using long daytime exposures.
The Isolation Collection

This set of black and white photographs although having an imact all of their own, with a splash of colour have become something special. "Spotted" is amongst one of my most recognised photographs.
The Deck Collection

A Victorian Pier streching out into an estury with the second largest tidal ranges in the world is the location of this broody collection. "Dawn On The Deck" being one of my most famous photographs.

About Me

My name is Leighton Phillips and like the Masters of Photography from the past, Ansel Adams, Henri Cartier-Bresson and William Eggleston to name but a few, I am a self taught photographer.

My interest in photography began at a young age evolving into a real passion around 2002.

Living in Cardiff, which is such a beautiful part of Wales, with its rugged coastlines and rolling landscapes has enabled me to spend time capturing the outstanding beauty that emerges from both the natural and manmade world.
