BIOGRAPHY
Leighton is a self-taught photographer from Wales, UK, inspired by the early work of the likes of Saul Leiter, Elliott Erwitt, Fred Herzog, Robert Frank, Vivian Maier and William Eggleston to name but a few. His images are usually black and white and full of contrast, mood, and texture. The subjects he’s drawn to are usually the hidden details or scenes in cities and urban environments. He works with both digital and film.
Leighton’s photography is about capturing the overlooked. He finds beauty in the mundane, the everyday, is interested in the way light and shadows interact with the world around us and the way people interact with their environment.
We hope his photography will inspire you to look at the world around you in a new way, and you will find the beauty and wonder in the everyday.
If you enjoy his work, feel free to contact him if you have any questions , comments or are interested in purchasing his prints.
